August 25, 2011 - Press Release

Workplace Safety Systems (HCS3000), Workplace Safety Practices (HCS 3010) and Agriculture Safety (AGR 3000) are BRAND NEW COURSES as of July 15/2011.

These courses were created through a partnership with Job Safety Skills Society and as a result all the courses offer imbedded certification at the Silver and Gold level. Each course includes 3 assignments plus a mandatory Practice Test and Final. In order to achieve certification students must choose the Silver or Gold level, write the final test for that level, and obtain a minimum overall course mark of 70%. (The Silver test is all multiple choice questions while the Gold is all short answer questions. The content covered on each test is similar.)  If students do not achieve 70% but do achieve 50% or greater and do not want the certification they will still receive the Alberta Education credit for the courses.
