"Bula!!!! (Fijian greeting) I have recently spent 3 months in Fiji and 2 months sailing around New Zealand. I went on this trip with an organization called Youth With A Mission, or YWAM for short. I did a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Marine Reach, the maritime arm of YWAM. During these 5 months I had lectures (in Fiji) helping me to grow in my relationship with Jesus Christ, and I also had the chance to reach out and get involved in youth groups and after-school programs. We also did whatever needed doing, such as weeding some large gardens, and piling up driftwood on a beach that had been flooded. We also had many chances to work with the homeless in cities around New Zealand. Marine Reach typically goes to small, isolated islands in the South Pacific providing medical aid such as cataract surgeries, dental surgeries, and primary health care. They will also repair broken generators, sewing machines, etc.--helping the people there in any way possible, with their ship the Pacific Link. "
