Bible A: "Hebrews 11"

Chapter 11 of Hebrews is the framework for this course. Students study the heroes of faith mentioned in this chapter. Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, and others are viewed from a Christian perspective. The purpose of this course is that students gain through these characters a spiritual understanding of the teaching of the Bible and that they apply this learning personally for growth in faith. This course is based entirely on the Bible. There are no prerequisites for this course.
Bible B: "The Gospel According to Mark"

In this course, students study the life of Christ through the action-packed account of the gospel of Mark. The primary focus is that students gain spiritual understanding of Christ through His life and teaching as recorded in this book and elsewhere in the Bible. Students are encouraged to follow Christ as their Lord and example. This course is based entirely on the Bible. There are no prerequisites for this course.
Bible C: "The Book of Acts"

This course is a study of the early church as recorded in the book of
Acts. After Christ ascended, a few seemingly ordinary people empowered
by the Holy Spirit began to turn the world upside down. The primary
focus is to gain a spiritual understanding of the present work of God
on earth through the study of the example recorded in the scriptures.
This course is based entirely on the Bible. There are no prerequisites
for this course.
Religious Studies 15, 25, 35 (Senior High)
Religious Studies 15: "The Old Testament"
Available in both print and online
Students study the Bible to know and understand the Old Testament or first portion of the Bible. This 5-credit course is taught from a Christian perspective based entirely on the Bible. The primary focus is to gain a spiritual understanding of the story of God through ages past (His Story). Links are made between the Old and New Testaments with the goal of understanding the big picture. The latter 20% of the course compares and contrasts Judaism with Christianity. There are no prerequisites for this course.
Religious Studies 25: "The Life of Christ"
Available in both print and online
Students study the Bible in an effort to know and understand Christ.
This 5-credit course is taught from a Christian perspective based
entirely on the Bible. The primary focus is to gain a spiritual
understanding of who Christ is through His life and teachings as
recorded in the Bible. The latter 20% of the course is a research
project comparing another religious leader with Christ. Students may
choose to compare Abraham or Moses (Judaism), Buddha (Buddism),
Mohammad (Islam), or another major religious leader with Christ. There
are no prerequisites for this course.
Religious Studies 35: "The Early Church"
Available in both print and online
Students study the Bible to know and understand the foundation of the
early church. This 5-credit course is taught from a Christian
perspective based entirely on the Bible. The primary focus is to gain a
spiritual understanding of the Christian church. Topics include
foundational doctrines, ethics, and family values. The goal in all of
these is to find the heart of God as portrayed in scripture. An
overriding theme of Bible study is employed throughout the course. The latter 20% of the course compares and contrasts other major religions with Christianity. There are no prerequisites for this course.
