Frequently Asked Questions

No. Teaching staff will be unavailable after June 25, 2021. Vista Virtual School (VVS) is opening for summer school registrations as of March 1st. Visit VVSchool.ca for more information.

As you may know, ADLC is administered for Alberta Education by Pembina Hills School Division (PHSD). PHSD also operates another online school called Vista Virtual School (VVS) which functions similarly to ADLC. Alberta school divisions can access VVS services through an Education Services Agreement (Interjurisdictional) with PHSD.

  • There is no charge to establish the agreement.
  • Fees will be charged for services on a per credit basis.
  • School jurisdictions will be able to retain base funding for their registered students.
  • A template for these agreements, and more information, can be found on the PHSD website.
  • VVS registration for 2021-22 opens May 1.

If you or your administrators have questions about these agreements, please contact PHSD Superintendent David Garbutt at 780-674-8507 or david.garbutt@pembinahills.ca.

If you have questions about programming offered by Vista Virtual School, please see VVSchool.ca.

Student access and TS services will not be available after June 25, 2021. School authorities may continue to communicate with ADLC staff until the end of July to finalize information regarding students.

After removing images, plug-ins and other content that were licensed to PHSD, ADLC will pass courses on to Alberta Education. Schools can continue to make digital (PDF) or printed copies of any print resources (PDF) until June 25th, but they will no longer be updated, nor will ADLC be responsible for the content. The adlc.ca website will be shut down at the end of summer.

Students

After June 25, 2021, most students will no longer be able to access courses through adlc.ca. Students who were in a diploma exam course will have access until July 30, 2021.

For questions regarding course completion or course credit, please contact the ADLC Principal, Steven Kaplan at steven.kaplan@adlc.ca

If your inquiry comes after August 27, 2021, please email ADLCInquiries@pembinahills.ca.
