When you need help with your course, do not hesitate to contact your ADLC teacher. If you call and get voicemail, please leave a message. We do our best to answer emails and voicemails within one business day.
If you think your question may require a longer explanation, arrange an appointment with your ADLC teacher (often through email) so that both yourself and the teacher have time set aside for the discussion.
As you do each assignment, you may wish to have two windows open on your computer screen to enable you to work on your assignment while referencing a web page or another document to find information. Windows can be relocated and resized manually to allow more than one window to appear on the desktop. This allows you to reference one window (such as finding information on a webpage) while working actively in the second window.
Steps outlining how to access multiple windows on a Chromebook, OS (Apple), and a Windows computer can be found at the link.
Check Your Marks Often
You can check your course marks in SIS. Use these directions to check your marks in SIS: Accessing the Gradebook – Students/Parents/Guardians
Some courses use discussion forums. When you are completing an assignment in a discussion forum, remember that all students in the course are able to read what you are writing. Avoid giving personal information you wouldn’t want to share with a whole class, and adhere to digital citizenship.
