ADLC’s Academic Advising department offers a wide assortment of advice on exam writing, financial aid, graduation requirements, careers, and more. We also provide assistance to aboriginal, international, and LGBTQ students.
Contact one of our academic counsellors if you need assistance.
Note: Online resources are not a substitute for professional medical or counselling assistance. Students who need advice about personal issues should seek assistance from a medical doctor, qualified counsellor, registered psychologist, or licensed social worker in their local communities.
Remember to celebrate small successes. Take a well-earned break after an hour of continuous study, for example.
We all function better when we’re well rested, so opt for a well-paced study schedule that allows you to give both your body and your brain the rest they need.
Whether you’re taking a high school course for the first time, upgrading, studying for your GED, or preparing for diploma exams, it can be all too easy to get side-tracked. Small things like turning off the TV or ignoring your phone for a bit will help you stay focused.
