International Students

For Alberta Distance Learning Centre purposes, the following students are considered international students:

  • Non-Canadians citizens who live outside of Canada
  • Students studying in Canada with a student visa
  • Canadians who live outside of Canada and are not residents of Canada

International Schools

Alberta Education accredited international schools are eligible to use ADLC Teacher Support and Student Instruction courses for credit. All other international schools are eligible to use our courses and materials based on international student fee structures.

If you’re interested in using ADLC resources and reporting marks to an Alberta transcript for your students, please read up on the accreditation process through Alberta Education or download the accreditation handbook from Alberta Education.

Note: Student requests to write Provincial Diploma Exams outside of Alberta could be denied, so students living outside of Alberta who want to take Grade 12 Provincial Diploma Exam courses should be prepared to travel to Alberta to write Provincial Diploma Exams.
