We use two main systems at ADLC; Moodle and SIS
Moodle (Learning Management System – LMS)
We use an enhanced version of Moodle as the platform where students access their course content, submit assignments, complete quizzes, readings, games, chat with classmates in forums (where applicable) and other additional course-specific activities.
Moodle is where ADLC/TS partner teachers manage their courses and students.
How do I get access to Moodle?
For ADLC-instructed students (known as Student Instruction or SI), ADLC Moodle is accessed through the Student Information System (recommended) or by visiting moodle.adlc.ca.
For Teacher Support (TS) resources, TS Moodle is accessed directly at moodle-ts.adlc.ca.
Login credentials for Moodle and SIS are the same.
Student Information System (SIS)
SIS is ADLC’s live, secure student record used by students, parents, guardians, teachers, facilitators and ADLC staff. SIS is compliant with the Government of Alberta’s Provincial Approach to Student Information (PASI) system and uses the benefits of a modern and robust software system. ADLC does not report grades to Alberta Education for Teacher Support.
Student Instruction (SI)
- Students, parents and guardians can check grades, see where students are at in their course(s) and send messages to teachers.
- Educators/Partner Schools have the ability to enroll their own students into ADLC-instructed courses, track their students’ progress, and maintain their students’ enrollments.
Teacher Support (TS) resources are accessed directly in TS Moodle. See above section for information on how to access TS Moodle.
How do I get access to SIS?
Educators/Facilitators/Partner Schools are required to create a Affiliation Super User account by filling out the Partner School Registration form.
Already have an account but don’t have the login? No problem! Fill in the same form to update your school’s information.
Once the Super User account has been created/updated, the login credentials are emailed to the Super User and/or partner school Principal. The Super User can then enrol their students into ADLC courses.
Students will receive their login information via email once the Affiliation Super User has enrolled them into an ADLC course.
SIS is accessed through the Login button on the adlc.ca homepage (top right corner) or directly at sis.adlc.ca. Login credentials for Moodle and SIS are the same.
